WTF: New York State Denies Gay Marriage

On December 2nd, New York State lawmakers completely denied Gay Citizens to marry. By a 14 vote lost (38-24) , All of Republicans and a few conservative Democrats have succeeded in denying Gay people to become one legally. Governor Paterson  has been an advocate for the bill to pass and has pleadged to bring the issue back up for disscussion.
Even though The Democratic Party is a majority in the Senate, many of them pleadged to deny Gay marriage and so far it looks like Homosexuals will never get the rights they want in NY state.

Personally, I am apart of the homosexual community and it really infuriates me that Gay citizens cant get the right to Marry. We are allowed to do many of the same things that  the straight community does (pay taxes, own homes etc.) but we cant get the right to marry legally. Many anti-marriage for Homosexuals use the bible to back up their logic and reason of thinking. Really? Why don't they use the Bible for criminals, sex offenders, drug addicts? The world changes! The world evolves! Want to use the bible? Then why does the bible state that ALL men are created equal (doesnt the Constitution say the same thing?). How is Homosexuals going to the alter, reciting their vows, exchanging rings and getting a piece of paper that states legal marriage affect the straight community's daily life? Everything will still be the same.

Leave Religion out of Congress and allow EQUAL RIGHTS to ALL...including the Gay Community

  4. You made some of the best point I've heard about this topic. They act as if it would b the destruction of society if this happens, when in all actuality people in the gay community have the right to b as happy as anyone that's str8
